Swen Lorenz (undervalued shares) shares some interesting insights on what’s hot in Financial newsletters and what is not

  • Swen Lorenz is a good writer but has an awful track record. Anybody who followed him knows it, just check his past picks – you should know it too as you bought his JUST EAT pick. He’s mainly good in self-aggrandising and constantly name-dropping the billionaires and kings he associates with (is any of it true? your guess is as good as mine).
If you look at the newsletter he mentioned as a successful one („Katusa Research“) it’s the same: Marin is a notorious (alleged – I don’t want to be sued) pump and dumper, and he will immediately block on Twitter anybody who shows any proof of that. He consistently pushes mining stocks, microcaps that had no financial feasibility nor any trading volume. Just google „Katusa Research TrustPilot“.
The fact that Lorenz is showing Katusa as a good example just goes to show how this entire industry preys on newbie investors with more money than brains. Marin Katusa started decades ago at Casey Research, another newsletter company with atrocious reviews and track record (Google „Casey Research TrustPilot“). Same as Swen Lorenz got his start at Agora Financial, currently rated 1.4/5 on TrustPilot after 73 reviews.
Bottom line – buyers beware. Anybody who is a good stock picker either writes for free (like yourself) or manages a fund. They don’t sell you their amazing picks for $49/month.
